#thankfulthursday What are YOU thankful for? Normally I would post some really great quote in harmony with the hashtag for the day. However, today I feel like making a personal post and saying what I am most thankful for.
I am most thankful for YOU. My “YOU” represents the people like you, that take the time to read, like and share my posts. The people that aren’t too busy to find a way to keep their word and be a blessing to others. Thank you.
I lost my father to ALS. Every year I post the ALS Event on Facebook to please donate and/or walk with me in the Walk to Defeat ALS. I am so thankful to YOU, those few individuals that come out on Saturday and walk with me and the ones that take the time to donate. I’m especially thankful to the busiest man I know, who understands that we have to make time. He took the time to help us with our ALS BLEND event this year. Thank you.
Four years ago, I had several back to back personal tragedies, completely devastated and lost everything but my home. I am thankful to YOU the people that gave me the spirit and strength to dig myself out and the determination to keep going. Thank you.
I am thankful for YOU the ones that contact me on a regular basis to make me laugh, let me know you care, made me feel beautiful when I needed it the most. I am thankful to the woman I have never met, but has now become one of my best friends. She never gave up on me, she took the time to listen and continues to be the voice of reasoning. Thank you.
I am thankful for having a relationship with GOD because he kept showing himself to me whether through a chance encounter, angels on earth or through a passage in a book. Thank you.
Lastly, I am thankful for life itself and for the life of all my friends and family. I will continue to be grateful and see the beauty in little things, cherish those small miracles, open myself up for opportunities and thankful for the people in this world who take the time to empower others. Thank you.
